Southern Classic
2025 will mark the 20th anniversay of the Southern Classic meeting.
And as round 2 of the 3 round Southern Festival of Speed we plan to bring to you one of the best race classic and historic race meetings of the 2025 season.
Whether you enjoy spending time walking through the paddock admiring the vast range of machinery on display, or watching the action on track , February 7th - 9th will be filled with interesting things to see and do classic motor racing related.
The Classic Motor Racing Club are again proud to host this event at one of the most picturesque motor racing circuits in New Zealand.
Levels Raceway in Timaru is not only a challenging track widely enjoyed and respected by competitors. Levels also offers incredible spectator viewing areas, and park-like surroundings.
Walking through the paddock area is very easy and relaxed, and our competitors are very friendly and only to happy to talk about their pride and joy.
The Classic Motor Racing Club will also be providing plenty of off-track entertainment, with our "motorsport legends" display, and a fantastic car Datsun display on Sunday, which will feature a Car show of classic Datsun's, and some lunchtime Parade laps on track.
On track action will include 9 full race groups which will provide a wide range of historic and classic racing vehicles stretching from the mid 1950's through to the current day OCSA Saloons.
If you've never been to a live motor racing event, the sights, sounds, and smells are truly something to which is difficult to duplicate anywhere else, and we know there will be something for all of you to enjoy.
Pack a picnic, and come along for the day, or the whole weekend.
