SOUTHERN CLASSIC 2026
2026 will mark the 21st running of the Southern Classic meeting.
And as round 2 of the 3 round Southern Festival of Speed we plan to bring to you one of the best race classic and historic race meetings of the 2026 season.
Whether you enjoy spending time walking through the paddock admiring the vast range of machinery on display, or watching the action on track , February 13th - 15th will be filled with interesting things to see and do classic motor racing related.
LEVELS RACEWAY
A JEWEL IN NZ's MOTORSPORT CROWN
The Classic Motor Racing Club are again proud to host this event at one of the most picturesque motor racing circuits in New Zealand.
Levels Raceway in Timaru is not only a challenging track widely enjoyed and respected by competitors. Levels also offers incredible spectator viewing areas, and park-like surroundings.
Walking through the paddock area is very easy and relaxed, and our competitors are very friendly and only to happy to talk about their pride and joy.
LOTUS CARS DISPLAY AND PARADE
The Classic Motor Racing Club will also be providing plenty of off-track entertainment and this year we feature Lotus a our premiere feature marque.
Sunday will feature a display of a wide range of Lotus cars, which will also parade on track during the Sunday lunchtime.

2 DAYS AND 8 GRIDS OF ACTION PACKED CLASSIC RACING
On track action will include 8 full race groups which will provide a wide range of historic and classic racing vehicles stretching from the mid 1950's through to the modern classics such as MX-5 Heritage Cup cars.
If you've never been to a live motor racing event, the sights, sounds, and smells are truly something to which is difficult to duplicate anywhere else, and we know there will be something for all of you to enjoy.
Pack a picnic, and come along for the day, or the whole weekend.
